Florists in the United States range from neighborhood flower shops with a walk-in cooler to studio designers who work only by appointment for weddings and events. Most retail florists build arrangements to order, deliver the same day when you call before early afternoon, and belong to a wire network (FTD, Teleflora or BloomNet) that passes out-of-town orders to a local shop. Ordering from the shop directly rather than through a national website usually means more flowers for the money, because no order-gatherer takes a cut. Flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, often early in the morning, and many now open to the public. Flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies and sunflowers and sell by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I love Pauline Naderβs Flower Farm SO much! Meghan makes the most stunning seasonal arrangements. I reached out to see if sheβd be open to doing some bud vases for my wedding and I was so happy when she was excited to work with us! Communicating with her while wedding planning was a breeze and so much fun. And her work was everything we dreamed it would be. She went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us. Thank you Meghan!!! We are forever fans of you and your flowers!

I hired Meghan as my wedding florist, and she was our favorite vendor that we worked with! Finding someone local who was committed to sustainable flower farming and contributing to urban biodiversity was really important to us and Meghan could not have been more perfect. She is incredibly sweet and incredibly talented. I didnβt have a lot of ideas about what I wanted my wedding flowers to look like but together we mapped out this beautiful vision and the final product was even better than I could have imagined. The bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres were gorgeous. We also got two ceremony statement pieces that we had originally envisioned as full of white sunflowers. Due to all the weird weather over the summer, the white sunflowers didnβt bloom in time, but Meghan kept us updated on everything and had three to four backup options for us to choose from. She took all of the stress out of decision-making, which I was really thankful for. As we were getting closer to our wedding date, we also decided we wanted to do some bud vases and she had options to do DIY buckets that were incredibly affordable and looked amazing the day-of. She also sorted the flowers so we could easily asse

Gorgeous flower bouquets! Fresh, affordable and sustainable. Take my advice and just try a bouquet, a gift certificate, a flower share, or hire them for your next special occasion.
